After the Storm was inspired by scrappy lavender clouds scudding swiftly along in front of a glowing sunset after a recent tropical storm straffed the coast here in Myrtle Beach, This scene is actually near the stadium off Grissom Parkway here in Myrtle Beach, and is a study for a larger painting I am planning. It is painted with professional quality Windsor & Newton oils on 7 X 9 inch canvas mounted on tag board and is coated with Gamvar varnish for protective shine.
