Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I painted this scene in acrylic on a very large 37 X 57 inich canvas in 2007, and then in 2011 I added the moon and it's reflections in oil and touched up the pink fringes of the clouds in oil as well. The original is sold, but if you are interested in a similar original, please contact me.
